myGo takes personal privacy very seriously, especially regarding youth teams. On the other hand the whole point of the site is to make it easier to share information. This privacy policy lays out what information is available to who on the site.
- Your Name
- myGo needs to collect your real name in order to organize teams. Leagues and refs don't like it if you turn in a roster with "SoccerNut312" as a player's name. On the other hand, some people do not want to share their name with everybody on myGo. As a result, myGo uses a Display Name, which is a name that is displayed to the public instead of your real name, but only if the display name is set. Set your display name by clicking my Profile: Edit profile in the left-side navigation and then clicking the "Name" tab. Set your child's display name by going to my Profile: Parenting, picking your kid's name and then the "Name" tab.
- Your Phone Number
- One of the goals of myGo is to help share information, such as your phone number with your club. We do not publish your phone number to the world at large. Your phone number is available by default to your teammates, clubmates and friends only. We may add in features in the future to expand the people you share your phone number with (such as managers who need a sub/new player), but you will have to turn those options on.
- Your Address
- Your address is only available to your club manager and coaches. Many leagues require an address in order to roster players.
- Your Email
- Your email is never available publicly on the site. It is available to coaches and managers. It will become available to someone if you send them myGo mail and they have their settings set to receive email. Your email will then appear as the "reply-to" address.
- Third Parties
- We will not share your personal information with third parties.
- Club Information
- Club rosters, trophies and stats are available to the public at large by default. Club managers and coaches have the option to hide these settings on (Your Club): Manager - Edit Club Settings tab.
- Blogs and News
- Sometimes teams write news articles or individuals write blogs. The author chooses whether or not these are available to the public at large or not.
